Purpose and Background Information

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the readiness of the MEGA/LASS solenoid for the Hall D Detector and to plan its move to JLab. A report will be written by Alcorn and St. Lorant for JLab management. P. Brindza, A. Dzierba and E. Scott will assist. Background information:

Dick Mischke has arranged to have a meeting room with several x-terms and has also arranged for those who bring laptops to get IP numbers for outside connections. Alex Dzierba and Eric Scott will have laptops with word processing software. We will need printer capability as well.

The meeting will be in room A126 of Building 1 (Lab Office Building (LOB)) at TA53 (LANSCE). There is a map of TA53 here

The visitor center is in Building 1. The gate guard will have our names.

There is no restriction on cameras in any area where you will be allowed.

The MEGA magnet is in (Area A). The 4th coil is outside on the north side of the accelerator, close to the LOB. Martin has agreed to lead the tour of the magnet. Larry Marek is the backup (he will also participate in the tour).
