Scott Teige's Link - acceptance plots and the data:

From the PDG-98: full listing on the eta and eta' are available here in PDF format.

This analysis is being carried out by Scott Teige. We also have had discussions on this with Barry Holstein and Adam Szczepaniak. On Monday, Aug 10, Eulogio Osat will be at IU (visiting A.S.) and we'll have his input as well.

The structure of the Dalitz plot for the decays:

These decays are of interest to chiral perturbation theorists - a sensitive probe for the breaking of chiral symmetry by the quark masses. The goal is to measure the alpha parameter.

For the eta decays E852 represents the first time that the neutral and charged modes are measured in the same experiment. The eta' decays (charged mode) world sample is 1,600 events. E852 has 17,500 in the '95 data. The GAMS sample on the neutral eta' decay is 6,500 events and the E852 sample is 18,000 events.

MC samples for acceptance studies are nearly complete. Systematics studies as a function of missing-mass-sqaured, chisquared and |t | have been carried out.
