The Advanced College Project (ACP) Physics Course at Indiana University

P221, the first semester, calculus-based, introductory physics course will be offered as part of the ACP program. The ACP has well-defined procedures for certification of teachers to teach this course as part of the ACP. In the case of P221, a member of the IU Physics faculty (Alex Dzierba) will approve certification. Dzierba will also approve the course syllabus which teachers are required to follow - with some flexibiliy. Dzierba will conduct a summer seminar for those teaching the course and a mid-year one-day review seminar. He will also conduct classroom visitations and will write the final exam.
